I am amazed at how great other blogs look. I thought, "how hard can this be?" Well, let me say that it takes more than the 10 minutes I wanted to dedicate to it. I am not at all pleased with the templates offered. Where do you get the cute ones? It took me almost an hour to figure out the music thing. Gosh, I need to dedicate some real time to this thing....
On a happier note, I made my own flour tortillas for dinner tonight. I realized I was out and did not want to run to the store, so I made them. Being from New Mexico, I have done this before, but it has been years. In fact, I think my mission in New Zealand was the last time. At any rate, they turned out so warm, soft, and yummy. They made our simple dinner so much better. I think I will make them myself from now on.
Ok, now better get back to work on making this thing look better..... stay tuned!

It took me so long to figure the blog thing out too. I think the night I put it together I was up until 3. Now, it is much easier.
There are acouple of websites to get nice backgrounds. If you are looking at a blog that you like the background, just click on the link at the top. On Kristin's it is on the left hand side. They have some cute ones. One others it will be in orange and say Pyzam. Then you pick the template, and get the HTML code from their site. Once you get it, then go back and edit your template and enter the HTML code there. I hope that helps.
We started making homemade tortillas when we lived in the Caribbean because we just couldn't get them. We love them so much more. I don't always have time to make them, but our meal tastes so much better when I do.
WAY TO GO!! on the homemade. I should try your recipe and see if it is better or easier. Have you ever tired making them with whole wheat flour? I hate whole wheat tortillas from the store, but they might be good with fresh ground wheat from home.
I think your blog looks great. I am just excited to get to know you better.
Leila.....WOW! I can't believe I stumbled onto your blog. How are you? I think I was with you in New Zealand when you made tortillas. Good times!!! We have a blog too at www.theplattpack.blogspot.com I set us up privately so email me your email address to brentsherry@msn.com and I'll add you to my list. I'd love to catch up with you. Hope all is well. Love- Sis. Sherry :)
