Chocolate Chip Pancakes

For the first time in a long time, we woke up with nothing to do.  The girls didn't have camp and I didn't have preschool.  Yahoo!

Since we weren't in any kind of hurry, I decided to treat the kids to chocolate chip pancakes.  They loved them.  Especially Beckett.  He was so cute picking out the chocolate chips and throwing the rest of the pancake to the side.  As I was watching them enjoy their yummy meal and looked into my wreck of a kitchen, I realized that this is what life is all about.  At that moment I didn't want to be anywhere else doing anything else.  I just wanted to be with them.  Cooking for them, making them laugh, and enjoying a slow, happy morning.

Those are the best days. I do however, enjoy a quick throw the bowl in the dishwasher, cereal day on occasion.
The look delicious, and it looks like your kids are loving them. Maybe I will have a lazy day tomorrow. I think I will.
